🧇 Their signature Soufflé French Toast with Vanilla Ice Cream, served on a wooden tray with 2 slices of toast, had perfect textures—a crispy, golden brown crust and a fluffy, airy center. It was heavenly! The toast had a light sweetness from the icing sugar. Pairing it with the cold ice cream made it even better!
🍌 I also tried the recommended Banana milk, even though I usually don't like banana-flavoured beverages. However, this one surprised me—it wasn't overly sweet or excessively banana-like. It was sooo good!
☕️ I expected a regular Mocha with almond milk. But when I took a sip, the almond milk was frothy, thick, perfectly sweetened, and tasted amazing. I've been craving that almond mocha ever since the trip! Highly recommend 👍

Brunch time at Columbus Coffee Co. with my girlfriends was an absolute treat! We couldn't resist trying three amazing dishes that left us wanting more.
We started with the irresistible Truffle Fries🍟 ($13.40). They were perfectly crispy, and the truffle flavour was just spot on. I couldn't help but keep munching on them!
Next up was the Cereal Prawn 🍤($22.60), a 'zi-char' style dish served with garlicky spaghetti. It was decent, maybe a 6/10 for me. Still enjoyable, though!
But the real star was the Mentaiko Salmon 🍣($22.10) with its mouthwatering aburi mentaiko salmon, crispy egg, ikura, chives, nori, and Japanese rice. The salmon was incredibly fresh, and the combination of flavours was simply divine.
💰Okay, I admit it, the prices at Columbus Coffee Co. are a tad steep. But trust me, the flavours make it totally worth the splurge!

🍗Chicken Katsu Sandos
The contrast between the lightness of the bread and the satisfying crunch of the katsu is simply divine. The perfectly cooked chicken is tender inside and beautifully crispy outside. This was undoubtedly one of the best sando I've had.
🫛Roasted Edamame
The roasted edamame at Keijometo are perfection—charred exterior, hint of smokiness, and amazing seasoning. The flavors elevate the natural sweetness, striking a harmonious balance of savory and slightly spicy notes. This addictive snack had me craving more.
🧂Sea Salt Genmaicha
The thick toast, generously topped with genmaicha spread and the subtle sea salt balance were simply harmonious, leaving me craving another slice. However, mine looked like it was over-baked??
🍵Strawberry Matcha & Lychee Matcha
The blend of lychee with matcha was amazing! The sweetness of the strawberries and the floral essence of the lychee beautifully complemented the earthy flavours of the matcha. Sipping on these refreshing concoctions was a treat for both the eyes and the taste buds.
If I'm heading to JB, Keijometo is definitely a place I'll return to. The food is good, and the ambience adds to the overall experience. I can't wait to try more dishes and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere!

Let me introduce you to an amazing café in Melbourne that quickly became a favourite of mine. I was fortunate enough to experience their lovely outdoor seating area during my visits in spring/summer, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Humble Rays is known for their Asian-inspired comfort dishes that masterfully blend flavours, encompassing a harmonious balance of spice, sweetness, sourness, and saltiness.
I highly recommend the:
🐟Salmon Okonomiyaki Benedict 23.5 AUD
It features a Japanese Veggie Pancake topped with smoked salmon, spinach, smashed avocado, salmon roe, two poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, and bonito flakes.
🥓BIG BREAKFAST 26.0AUD
It includes scrambled eggs on toasted sourdough, bacon, chorizo, potato rosti, tomato, and mushroom. This plate will satisfy your cravings for a satisfying and fulfilling morning meal.
🥞Blueberry Pancakes
Thick and fluffy pancakes stacked high, generously drizzled with a delectable blueberry sauce. The sauce strikes the perfect balance between sweet and sour, and when paired with the cream on the side, it creates a delightful flavour combination. However, this dish might have been removed from their current menu, so it's always a good idea to check ahead.
Humble Rays is a café that has stolen my heart in Melbourne. From the friendly staff to the inviting atmosphere, everything about this place screams perfection. Whether you're craving a unique twist on eggs Benedict, a hearty breakfast feast, or indulgent blueberry pancakes, Humble Rays is the place to be.
